There’s been a quiet buzz lately about ‘The Cloud‘ and the expectation that we should all be committing our data files for safe keeping at Microsoft or Google or where ever. Aside from the obvious privacy concerns being expressed there are practical advantages of being able to access your digital life from where ever you may be on what ever device you happen to be using.
I’m a user of the ToodleDo online To-do service. So from my computer desktop or from my iPhone I can view my goals, tasks, notes etc. When I edit tasks using my iPhone applications they are synchronised to ToodleDo so I’m always seeing the latest data. This is a practical implementation of a cloud based service and one that I find very useful.
